A smarter job-search plan for new graduates in Singapore

Graduates do not need to pretend they have ten years of experience. They need to make their learning, judgment, and evidence of initiative easy to assess.

Choose a starting lane

Pick two or three target role families based on projects, internships, and the kind of work that held your attention. This makes your applications legible to recruiters and helps you improve faster.

Turn coursework into evidence

Describe the problem, your decisions, the tools you used, and the outcome. A portfolio project, student leadership role, or internship can show reasoning and reliability when it is explained concretely.

Use a weekly operating rhythm

Set a modest target for tailored applications, conversations, and practice. Review where replies came from each week, then double down on the role types and evidence that create traction.
